Jason Naugle.

Hello. The paintings on this blog are all painted by me. Unless stated otherwise. I'm taking painting 1 at Texas community college. Never had experience with painting before (or art in general besides drum line for my high school marching band). Most paintings I will be doing with acrylic paint. I'm liking it so far and hope to keep up with it later in life. I want to be able to paint what I see and imagine. If I want to accomplish anything through my paintings it'd probably be to give insight to what is going on in my head. I believe that when someone who can put down their personal ideas or thoughts on paper, canvas, drums, or even sing can also have the potential to change the world.

Collage. Separate ways.

I had a paper back book that I wasn't going to need so anytime I was mixing paint I would paint on the pages with what ever was left over. Then I ripped some of the colors I liked. Placed them where I wanted. Gluing was the harder part. Named "Separate Ways" because it reminds me of the song "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)" by Journey.

Pastels. Blue sky and blue water and blue trees and blue shore

First pastel at work. It was from a picture I got in class. Came out better than I thought.

Color wheel. Oh look a tree painting!

It's still a work in progress. Will post updated soon.

Analogous complement. Death blooms.

First painting of my choice. Sort of. I really like skulls so maybe I'll get better at them, and painting.
